“A Cautionary Tale” Courtesy of “Decent Conservatives”

trump and maxwell

Here is a picture of Donald Trmp with Ghislaine Maxwell, alleged procurer for convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein. Trump: “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it–Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

As I laid out in this week’s show, my fear is that Donald Trump, who is not being vetted by the Republican primary process–at least not before it’s too late, will be thoroughly vetted by the Clinton Machine. The result could well be both a Hillary presidency and an object lesson in straying from the establishment.

My gut tells me this is no accident and the boldness and effectiveness of such a plot, if that’s what it is, is downright Axelrodesque. Though he denies being behind it, it is widely believed that David Axelrod’s approach to Obama’s Senatorial elections was to use the same bold tactic in both the primary and the general: to get the divorce records unsealed of Obama’s opposing candidates in time-frames that precluded effective replacement candidates. In this case, the tactic, in both the primary and the general election, appears to be to pit Hillary against polarizing candidates who, it will end up, could never quite get 50% of the vote, without revealing that fact until it’s too late to make other choices. Unlike the opponents of the aspiring Illinois Senator, however, I think Bernie and Trump are playing along. (Here is an article I wrote laying out why I think there’s something fishy going on with Trump’s “self-financed campaign.”)

And now, as I had feared, the Republican establishment has begun to blame the anti-establishment voter for destroying the party. In the articles linked below, today’s Wall Street Journal demonizes the allegedly Trump-supporting grassroots (I don’t believe he’s as popular as “the polls” tell us and without exit polls we will never really know), insinuating that they are naive and foolhardy for going outside the establishment. “…A cautionary tale….”

  • Staring at the Conservative Gutter
Donald Trump gives credence to the left’s caricature of bigoted conservatives.

    • “It would be terrible to think that the left was right about the right all these years. Nativist bigotries must not be allowed to become the animating spirit of the Republican Party. If Donald Trump becomes the candidate, he will not win the presidency, but he will help vindicate the left’s ugly indictment. It will be left to decent conservatives to pick up the pieces—and what’s left of the party.” (Emphasis added.)
  • The Donald and The Terminator
The perils of a conservatism where the messenger trumps the message.

    • “Before there was Donald, there was Arnold. And therein lies a cautionary tale with particular resonance this Super Tuesday.” (Emphasis added.)

If The Wall Street Journal and her sister FoxNews really fear a Trump nomination, why do they and the media in general give Trump from 10 to 25 TIMES the media coverage of all other GOP candidates combined? I believe they are setting up Hillary to win and setting up the anti-establishment voter to take the fall.

    Monica,
I’m heading out the door so just have a quick question before I respond to your post. I’m curious of the source of the quote under the picture? I note your post includes the WSJ as a source for some of the points made. For multiple reasons the WSJ should have zero credibility with us all (think Carlos Slim for starters!).

    • austrogirl says:

I’m not using The Wall Street Journal as a source, I am quoting them for the quotes themselves. I had heard the Trump quote before and found it originally in this article (which is linked above in the words “not being vetted”) http://gawker.com/donald-trump-manages-to-involve-himself-in-two-skeevy-s-1677459527 but they got it from this New York Magazine article on Epstein http://nymag.com/nymetro/news/people/n_7912/index3.html the Trump quote is on page one.

      • hugh says:

        Monica,
It is so crystal clear to me that the Elites are Hell bent on dividing and conquering The West via ‘immigration invasions’. The citizens are crying for border enforcement and we have Carlos Slim’s Wall Street Journal referring to the gravely concerned citizens as a ‘conservative gutter’!

      • hugh says:

        Monica,
Interesting photo of Trump and the procurer. As I look at it more closely, it appears highly likely that it was photoshopped!! I’m believing none of this!

        • austrogirl says:

Do you not believe the New York Magazine article quoting him? That does not look photoshopped to me. If these things are true, would it change your opinion of him?

          • hugh says:

            Monica,
I try to stay true to a basic axiom of going with where ever the truth leads me. I would always be willing to change my view if the full context, not selected parsing soundbites, supported a revaluation.

          • hugh says:

            Monica,
To answer your question, (and I’m glad you asked it!), I had no prior knowledge of New York Magazine. (And I bet you will be surprised at the revelation I relate here!) While researching that publication, I struck a goldmine to totally support my position. Please see the link I provide below, and anyone who does an internet search will confirm that this individual is the lowest of low lifes! As I suggest, the figurative long knives are out for Donald Trump from all angles! The New York Magazine is part of the establishment attempting to take down Trump, in my opinion!

Monica, this doesn’t rule out your psyop hunch yet, but the chances of that are getting slimmer and slimmer, in my opinon. The link re the low life New York Magazine writer, Jonathan Chait, effectively calling for the assasination of Donald Trump, is immediately below.

          • austrogirl says:

Do you think that Trump was misquoted?

          • futuret says:

THEY ARE ALL AFTER OUR FLESH, BLOOD, AND SOULS. AUSTROGIRL I CAN HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR THE WORK YOU DO, AND MOST OF IT IS LEGITIMATE; HOWEVER, TRUMP IS A DEVIL AND A PART OF SATAN, HE DOES NOT FEEL HE NEEDS TO ASK OUR HEAVENLY FATHER FOR, FORGIVENESS, AND HE FEELS THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE TO ANSWER TO HIM. WHAT IN THE HELL SOCIETY, CULTURE, OR CIVILIZATION WE ARE LIVING IN. AS FAR AS THE REST THAT ARE RUNNING, DO NOT GIVE A DAMN WHAT POLITICAL PARTY, THEY ARE IN FAVOR OF worshiping the devil, AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER. THAT INCLUDES YOUR LIBERTARIAN PARTY AS WELL, ONE IS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER THAN TACTICS, AND THIS IS ALL THAT IT AMOUNT TO. TRUMP IS NOT MISS QUOTED, HE IS OF SATAN, AND SO IS THOSE THAT ARE RUNNING, NOT ADMITTING TO THE TRUTH OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER, THE MARK OF THE BEAST, ETC…TRUMP IS JUST MORE PRONOUNCED. HE THINKS HE IS SOMETHING, HE IS LESS THAN A HUMAN BEING. HE WILL STAND BEFORE THE CREATOR AND GIVE AN ACCOUNT WHY HE SHOULD NOT ANSWER. THIS IS FACT, AND DO NOT LET ANYONE FORGET IT,, BY NO MEANS!!! I DO NOT GIVE A DAMN WHAT BOOK ANYONE WRITES, THEY CAN WRITE UNTIL DEATH, FACTS ARE FACTS, AND EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM THINKS THEY ARE A god!!!

          • austrogirl says:

Just for the record, I am an anarcho-capitalist…I reject the coercive monopoly that is the modern state–for some reasons similar to Tolstoy who was a spiritualist anarchist. I respect the Libertarian Party to the extent the liberty movement has not been coopted by the system (much if it has) and support their efforts to open eyes and minds. Just for the record 🙂

          • futuret says:

NONE OF THEM WHO ARE RUNNING ARE IN FEAR OF THE CREATOR. AS FAR AS TRUMP, HE FEELS HE DOES NOT HAVE TO ANSWER TO THE CREATOR. PEOPLE ARE CHOOSING PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO FEAR OF GOD (THE CREATOR OF ETERNAL INFINITE UNIVERSES). AS JESUS CHRIST HAS TOLD US, HIS KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD.

          • hugh says:

            Monica,
You asked if I thought the New York Magazine misquoted Trump. From what I have been able to gather so far, I would need to hear the full comment, in context, from an independent source. My opinion is nothing can be trusted from the New York Magazine re this matter. That publication has a clear agenda!

          • futuret says:

FIRST OF ALL YOU CAN NOT MISQUOTE A LIAR, AND TRUMP IS A LIAR. HE SAYS HE IS A CHRISTIAN, BUT HE ALSO SAYS, THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE TO ASK THE CREATOR HEAVENLY FATHER FOR, FORGIVENESS. THIS IS NOT CHRISTIANITY OR ANYTHING ELSE, BUT A CLOSET SATANIST PROMOTING AN AGENDA. DID YOU KNOW THAT PUTIN AND I HAD A WEDDING AND I AM MRS. PUTIN. ALSO YOU DID NOT KNOW I AM THE MOTHER OF THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND. PLUS, I TOOK OFF IN A SPACE CAPSULE THIS MORNING AND HAVE FLOWN TO THE MOON AND BACK. SURE DONALD T IS CHRISTIAN, AND IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT MAGAZINE HE IS IN, HE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN, AND YOU CAN NOT MISQUOTE A LIAR WITH NOT ONLY ONE TONGUE, BUT TWO I SURELY WOULD NOT BE CONCERNED ABOUT MISQUOTES, TRUMP MISQUOTES HIMSELF CONSTANTLY.

  2. Yep. The Alex Jones Show sounds like Trump campaign headquarters and he bases his support in the “fact that the establishment is against him.” I believe that Jones is being conned by what he calls “insiders” that are feeding him disinformation, supposedly about what Trump really believes, that jives with 24/7 anti-Trump media coverage. It’s all smoke & mirrors.

    • hugh says:

      Monica,
I just played a bit of this clip of Pearse Redmond talking about Epstein, the pedophile. I had not heard of Redmond and I searched the Internet to see where he is coming from. I attach a link below of Redmond and others, and sure enough they malign Charles Lindberg, Henry Ford, Father Coughlin, and others. Appears to me Redmond is one of the figurative long knives coming out to take down Trump! The clip you posted is thus not at all credible with me, so far as Trump is concerned. But to be clear, it does appear Epstein is a pedophile and needs to be held accountable!

      http://porkinspolicyreview.com/tag/neo-nazi/

      • hugh says:

        Monica,
For grins I went on The Corbett Report website and snooped around some as that was the direct link to this Pearse Redmond guy. Corbett lists approximately 45 different topics where the reader could search, and guess what, “immigration” and related was not one of the 45 listed topics! BINGO! Corbett is helping to take down Trump as he must be one of the multiculturalism aficionados. I recall taking issue with Corbett in the past re some absurd statement he made re immigration but he didn’t respond back to me. All these folks want open borders!!!!! That is suicide for The West!!!

        • austrogirl says:

Corbett is Canadian and lives in Japan-US immigration might not be at the top of his list of priorities. Regardless, I’m not relying on that for anything–just thought it was interesting. I am relying on the New York Magazine quote, however, because Trump of all people would not let them get away with that if it were false.

          • hugh says:

“Immigration” is a worldwide matter. The West is being destroyed. Corbett knows! But he cares not. “Why” does he not care is the question I have?

        • austrogirl says:

I do appreciate a good back and forth but I wanted to mention separately from this topic…i am not a particular fan of the interviewee and have no comment on him, however, I have been consciously evaluating Corbett for years and left the jury out for a long time…i have finally come to the conclusion that he is honest and I think you will find the same. I didn’t come to that conclusion lightly at all and I don’t suggest you do, but he is a valuable resource and is on my very, very short list of “not-hinky sources”…as for why he doesn’t highlight immigration–i’m pretty confident he understands that immigration (for example, Coercive Engineered Migration) is used as a tool to foster world government…it may be that he is like I am…I see many such tools including education, the drug war, welfare, pop culture, surveillance, cognitive infiltration, bankers’ wars (that’s probably his main focus), captive media, etc…some of us take a broad spectrum approach, others dig in…it may also be that that’s an area (the way abortion might be) that is so divisive even (if not especially) in the libertarian community (he is a voluntarist) that it’s not worth alienating half the people over a topic they won’t change their minds about if it means not being able to discuss and raise awareness on the many many issues that the majority still need to be informed on.

          • hugh says:

I do understand your points, thank you for taking the time to explain them, and perhaps you have nailed Corbett’s rationale for avoiding the immigration issue. My only added comment is that the various tools used against us which you mention are not absolutely fatal as we potentially can overcome and recover from them. The downside effects of immigration are forever! Thus my intense focus on this issue.

          • Bradrad says:

I sometimes wonder why people worry so much about preserving US “culture.” After all, what makes our culture superior to those that don’t make war on cultures half a world away? How is our culture superior to cultures that are obviously more free? How is our culture superior to countries where family and marriage still mean something? Where faith isn’t seen as ignorance, but is seen as a necessity to good character? How are we better? And how are we not ignorant bigots for not wanting to mix with them?
If we get to know these people we fear, we might find a wealth of friendship there.

  4. Democrats draw plan to shatter the GOP http://politi.co/1RfAFtx

    • austrogirl says:

this was the plan all along, don’t you think?

as soon as Trump came out with the immigrants are criminals comments last June, and then they were quickly followed up by a classic false flag-style story (the extremely sketchy details of which do not convince me in the least this was the work of the accused immigrant http://themonicaperezshow.com/2015/07/11/something-smells-fishy-on-the-pier/) as well as that bizarre el chapo tweet (http://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino/el-chapos-official-twitter-takes-trump-mexican-president-n391411), it seemed clear this thing was a massive psyop (http://themonicaperezshow.com/2015/07/21/the-real-trump-trap/).

All that, combined with the obviously (if only in retrospect) hammed-up buffoonery of JEB and his unprecedented ability to spend a 9-figure warchest to go massively backwards (http://themonicaperezshow.com/2016/02/24/trump-spends-zero-is-crushing-it-heres-why/), I had to conclude the target was a Hillary presidency and a smackdown of the disgruntled republican voter. At first I thought The Trumanp Show was all for JEB but deep down I knew they needed a Democrat to silence the anti-war (and 9/11 truther?) left.

Sorry for the rant–i’m just so frustrated that people can’t see this thing unfolding week by week just like a loosely (or not-so-loosely) scripted reality show…not professional wrestling with its histrionics, but actually a reality show where real life events are manipulated to dramatic effect.

      • futuret says:

ONE IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER, THEY ARE JUST PLAYING BOTH SIDES AGAINST THE MIDDLE, WHICH IS US. AS A CONSPIRACY REALIST, I SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN ANY POLITICAL PARTY, OTHER THAN THEY WANT DEPOPULATION SO THEY CAN MANAGE US AND BRING IN THE MARK OF THE BEAST, BUT BEFORE THEY DO THAT THEY WANT TO DRAIN US OF EVERYTHING WE ARE WORTH INCLUDING BLOOD. THEY ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, AND ARE VERY GOOD ACTORS AND ACTRESSES; THEY PUT ON A BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN THE OSCARS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE THEY CARE ABOUT THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND THIS ECONOMY OF SATAN, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER YAHVEH AND CREATOR, SURELY DID NOT WANT US TO LIVE THIS WAY, AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST, WHO SHALL MAKE CLEAN OF ALL DEMONIC BEINGS. BIBLE PROPHECY IS BEING FULFILLED. THIS WORLD DOES NOT DESERVE TO GO ON WITH EVIL AND GROSS IMMORALITY THE WAY IT IS NOW, WHO IN THE HELL WANTS TO KEEP SOMETHING LIKE THIS GOING, AND FOR WHAT, MORE DESTRUCTION AND MORE OF THE SAME EVEN WORSE.

      • hugh says:

        Monica,
Have you ever examined the crime statistics related to illegals?! It’s real! And Kate Stenlie is dead. Do you think Trump had her murdered?

      • I think you’re right. It will be interesting to see what happens. I think it’s pretty obvious Trump is making a lot of people (= his supporters) look like dangerous fools. Trump has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. He’s wealthy, well connected, an actor, a producer, a businessman. But his followers are not. When the dust settles, and Hillary is POTUS, Trumps duped supporter could very well lose their careers because they supported a racist (e.g., “Are you now or have you ever been a Trump supporter (=racist)?)

  5. 1776blues says:

No more Clintons! B. Clinton betrayed the unions by signing NAFTA and was responsible for the US joining the WTO. Both have sent the middle class into a death spiral. Honestly, KKK? Trump has said nothing about white nationalism, he did say nationalism as in American. I like many Americans are tired of the cultural marxist who brought us PC and parade around as democrats when in reality the party is nothing but a communist socialistic party. Of course the Republicans weren’t much better as they started caving into the political correctness. By the way, the neocons, Cheney and company, were former Trotskyites aka leftists.

Republicans failed to vett Obama who failed the natural born test.

I’m not surprised this site is a liberal site who only call names and accuse whites of being supremacists, but we can thank those who own the mainstream media. Its not hard to find out who does. But back to the supremacist issue. That’s only used when whites express pride which causes the indoctrinated left to spew the historical lies that have been plastered on our TV screens and movie theaters and in history books. However, legal and illegal immigration isn’t good for any Americans. How long did the communist left think Americans would remain silent as their country was headed for complete disaster? Diversity is not a strength its a unity killer.

    The Clintons

    • austrogirl says:

what are you talking about? who’s liberal? who said anything about white supremacists? I certainly didn’t. I don’t fall for any of the ridiculous back and forth in the mainstream media surrounding trump. all the publicity from left, right and center just serves to give him credibility and convince people this psyop is real. I quoted the Journal only to point out how they are using the Trump psyop to demonize the rank and file. It’s a classic ploy–set up someone to come off as a racist then discredit him for being a racist. I don’t think Trump is a racist, I think he’s an actor playing a role with the purpose of getting Hillary elected and making Republican voters (who i do not believe are really voting for him in droves–where are the exit polls to verify the balloting?) look reckless. His reasons? I don’t know–could be downside management (someone has the goods on him), could be personal gain (the DC hotel perhaps? maybe this is just a book tour…) or doing a friend who will be in a high place a favor he can call in for the rest of his life…who knows…but this is not what-you-see-is-what-you-get, and he would have gotten nowhere without the full continuous support of the mainstream media across the board–and that’s a fact.

I agree with you–No More Clintons! But that is not how this is going to end.

      • hugh says:

        Monica,
Your expanded comment here was helpful and I agree with much of it. But at this point, I have come to believe Trump is for real. He has totally immersed himself in this cause, and we all agree the nation is in dire straights! He has the courage to believe he can reverse the downward spiral. I read an article recently that indicated Trump is moving the Overton Window…you had introduced me to that concept.

    • hugh says:

      1776blues,
      AMEN!

  6. bradrad says:

I think Trump and Hillary sat down long ago and planned this thing. “I can win this thing for you, Hillary. Here’s a list of things I want when I hand you the election.” Trump knew that he could fool xenophobes and racists and flag-wavers with his talk of wall-building and China-bashing and reality show style name-calling. What’s sad to me is how many people fell for it. He doesn’t believe the things he’s saying, but he does believe those are the things people want to hear from republicans. So far he’s been right. When Hillary is in there, you just watch how Trump’s empire grows, even as the State becomes more heavy-handed. There’s nothing like having a grateful politician on speed-dial.

    • austrogirl says:

I agree with much of what you’re saying especially on the long ago thing (in 2013, trump got a sweet deal from dc govt on a post office-cum-hotel) but two points I think maybe not…I don’t think quite as many are falling for it as we are led to believe (or there would be exit polls)…and I think there are very high priced psychological strategists (like Cruz has) telling him exactly what to say and how to say it (just like Obama no doubt had)…

    • futuret says:

THIS IS TRUE AND I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE SAID. PEOPLE DO NOT STOP AND THINK THAT HILLARY HAD A FRONT ROW SEAT, AT TRUMP’S WEDDING TO MELANIA. HILLARY AND TRUMP ARE ALSO 19TH COUSINS, WHICH MAKES THEM A DYNASTY UNTO THEMSELVES. PEOPLE WANT VOICES AND NOT LIVES, PEOPLE LIVE TO HEAR, NOT LIVE TO LIVE, AND FOR THE MOST PART THEY ARE NOT LEARNING, THEY ARE DECAYING IN A MEMORY.

  7. hugh says:

    Monica,
Do I recall that you have respect for Stefan Molyneux? I just ran across a video presentation by Stefan where he sets the record straight re all the lies leveled against Mr. Trump by the MSM, Rubio, Cruz, etc. The Jeffery Epstein matter is addressed at the 1hr. 16min. mark. I highly encourage all view the clip in it’s entirety as we all have been subjected to so many lies!! The link to the presentation follows below.

    • bradrad says:

There’s an annoying fallacy you use in your arguments, Hugh. It’s this thing where you think that because someone admires the work of someone else, that he must agree with everything he says. It’s like we have to reject or accept someone as a whole, else we are contradicting ourselves. For instance, I like reason magazine, but I think the rights to life of the unborn are equal to my own. Following your flawed logic, I favor abortion because I read reason.
It’s shallow and obvious, and it makes you appear less reasonable than you probably are.

      • hugh says:

        Bradrad,
Au Contraire! I have learned to compartmentalize many sources over the years, realizing where a given source makes sense and where it doesn’t. If my recollection is correct and Monica does respect Stefan, she will be more apt to consider his view. It is a separate matter as to whether she agrees or disagrees with his view. So, Bradrad, it is your comment that makes no sense.
