And Callie continues to amaze with a hubby who can’t always be home, she raises 5 children–I wont say kids because she probably has a few kids–and chicks and lambs!!! She does it ALL!! So then she decides to bring it to the agora as it were–she sent pics–LOVE her number one son selling CAROLINA REAPERS! He would do well in my house 🙂
You may remember Callie from our last meet-up at Neighbors, and you may also remember Carol. So many of us got to meet in real life that day and many of us have kept up since. Carol is one of the people I’ve kept in touch with. Her emails often brighten my day, though not this time. Her latest email told me of the very sad passing of her mother, who was born the same year as my mother.
Carol’s mother, Anne Shepherd, was a pillar of the Athens community and was so honored. It is with deep regret that Carol reports that first because of lockdowns then because her mother wasn’t feeling up to it, she did not actually have a ceremony to receive her honors. The honors were presented to her privately, however, and I asked if I could show them to all the Proppers who appreciate community and respect all the strong women we know and love, especially someone who paved the way in her accomplishments and her contributions. My father always taught me it doesn’t do much good to remember the dead, we must pray for them, so I am hoping that if you read this, you might take one extra moment to say a short prayer for Anne Shepherd, that she may enjoy her eternal reward. Thank you for sharing this with us, Carol.

The Mandibles: A Family, 2029-2047, by Lionel Shriver
I rarely read fiction, but this is well worth it. Foreshadowing the medical-industrial complex that has since revealed itself, and imagining a world as the dollar collapses. It’s a great book.

Blast from the Past
As the Pelosi Psyop brought to the fore the plans for the Capitol Police to expand across the country (listen here), I was reminded of a couple of previous fishy events I had covered that involved them: the murder of Miriam Carey & the patsification of Aaron Alexis. You can read my article on Miriam Carey here:
Amazingly, the video in the post below that describes the scene is still in my old post. The speaker says, “etched into [Alexis’ gun] were the words…my elf weapon.” It actually said ELF weapon. Extremely low frequency? Unfortunately, most of my work on this event is lost, but it was relevant to the Capitol Police story because of the strange behavior of the SWAT team that day, which you can read about here.
