I took Tylenol as a child to treat chronic headaches, and it burned a hole through my liver; it turned out the chronic headaches were being caused by eye strain because my dominant eye was 20 / 20, and the other eye was 20 / 200. The chronic headaches were relieved by corrective lenses; at the end of the day, the need for most medications could probably be severely diminished by finding out what caused the symptoms instead of just treating the symptoms.
