The only problem I find with labor unions is the Taft – Hartley Act, which requires management to negotiate with labor; this act allows labor to demand a pay that exceeds productivity and perpetuate a wage – price spiral. The laws of supply and demand should determine whether, or not management needs to negotiate with labor; if management cannot bring in more help to displace the striking workers, it means they were not paying enough, and must offer more pay to the strikers. However, if management can bring in more help to displace the strikers – the strikers were asking for pay exceeding productivity. . .
