COVID has demonstrated that the first half of the Second Amendment means absolutely nothing; recall that a Midwestern Governor exempted his militia from vaccination, and his Adjutant General went along with it. Lloyd Austin’s response was take off your Green Berets, and give me back my Ranger Tabs; training, and equipping the militia is described in the Constitution as a power granted to congress. In this case, that power was used to subvert states’ rights; the most important part is the second half where it makes clear it is a right of the People.
