In honor of Mother’s Day, I thought I’d post a quote by the father of our country about his mother.

“It will be found an unjust and unwise jealousy to deprive a man of his natural liberty upon the supposition he may abuse it.” Does this suggest that President Washington would have been in favor of ending the Drug War?
And ending the Military-Industrial Complex: “Over grown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty, and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty.”

I am a free-rider on the right to bear arms. I don’t bear them myself, but I know the armed citizenry is my only defense against tyrannical government.)
