GOP Rules & Libertarian Party in the Crosshairs…

I have believed that Donald Trump’s campaign was an inside job ever since his initial comments about Hispanic immigrants gained traction by an obviously manipulated story about a woman shot on a pier in San Francisco as well as a ridiculous story about El Chapo (likely a psyop in himself) angrily tweeting at The Donald within 24 hours of allegedly escaping prison. Since then, Trump has received BILLIONS of dollars in free media advertising, in large part from CNN which has a long history of putting agenda before ratings and whose agenda most certainly is NOT to have a Republican in the White House.

Stories that build through media and government spin serve agendas in my observation, and once you get the hang of the pattern it’s easy to see them unfold from the earliest stages–so it was with The Trump Train. There is also a well-established rule for such operations: use them to serve more than one agenda if possible. Again, The Trump Train fits the bill.

With the histrionics between Trump & Cruz unfolding like a scripted reality show, it seemed more was in the offing than merely getting Hill the win. I surmised aloud that the goal would be to reshape the GOP nominating process to prporcupinePNGevent not another Trump, but another Ron Paul, who actually did give the establishment a run for its money as evidenced by their “ignore you better still” approach to his powerful challenge. I also worried aloud that the establishment would take this opportunity to neuter or co-opt the Libertarian Party. Is this what’s happening now? I always say if it’s easy to predict the consequences of certain actions, they are unlikely to be “unintended.” What do you think, is this stuff part of the plan?

Just for the record, I am not a member of the Libertarian Party–I go the Full Rothbard–and I’m not a fan of the sanitized–even corporatized or compromised–libertarianism found at Cato, the Reason Foundation & Fox News, but I have always supported voting Libertarian as a way to register your protest to the liberal-fascist center represented by both the Republicans and the Democrats.

  1. Monica,
Lots of fertile material in your post to comment on, but let’s start with your comment on William Weld and Gary Johnson. As you wrote:

“But the ’90s Massachusetts governor’s past stances might trouble many Libertarians who care about more than just fiscal issues.”

For those readers who haven’t followed this matter, (and the provided link also doesn’t mention), Weld was the U.S. signatory of a tri-country agreement which would effectively establish a North American Union among the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. You had earlier posted an excellent thread on this very topic, but that was before Johnson announced Weld as his VP running mate. My sincere opinion here is this agreement represents treason against the U.S., nothing less! And it flies directly in the face of the model of sovereign nations. My question would be who is trying to neuter or co-opt the Libertarian Party, or is this actually what this party stands for? As this agreement which Weld signed and Johnson must undoubtedly support calls for effectively removing the borders between the three countries and allowing a free flow movement of the citizens of the three countries, who is being duped or co-opted? I would suggest the Libertarian Party is just another vehicle to support world government, or at least move the U.S. toward that goal. Perhaps many libertarians haven’t thought it all through? And as an aside, you allude to the point that there are Libertarians who only care about fiscal issues. I do understand that, and I also perceive that as a major weakness in their thinking. Life is more than dollars and cents, much more!

So a question for Monica: in your earlier post re Weld, you were clear about the globalist nature of the discussed agreement (“Building a North American Community”). Now that Weld is Johnson’s selected VP, will you still vote that ticket? And if so, I would love to hear how you justify that vote. As I stated, it’s nothing less than treason, in my opinion!

  2. I’d like to see if anyone is confident enough to predict what their candidate will do should he/she/it be elected. I recall that all these would-be saviours were expected to do great things by those who believed in them. How many of the promises will be kept? If the answer is none, then your vote is even more worthless than I imagined.

  3. I love when the Republican Party calls themselves conservatives. And they always have a new face that seems like things will be different. Then they high jack and only leave the ruins behind. I remember Ralphie https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tBW2aQFVzCU&autoplay=1 Reed doing his damage back in the 90’s. His words certainly didn’t match his actions.

This is how money is spent from our reps. Always notice the sugar coated names and then see the attachments. Check out congress.org for their drivel.

  4. Anyone else think it’s like being in Crazyville to hear Donald Trump call someone else a sleaze? Just saying. I know some of his girlfriends may take offense, so I’ll apologize to them in advance.

    • Trump’s description of the media is excellent. In fact use of the word “sleeze” does fit Katie Couric perfectly…and most of the others, as well. I suggest a good descriptive word for Mr. Trump would be patriot.

    • It’s interesting that I can’t find where Couric cheated on her husband. I thought it was the other way around. Where I’m from, the ultimate sleaze is the man who cheats on his wife, or with another man’s wife. Trump has admitted to doing both. There are some folks who are so in love with Trump that this “trumps” their belief in the precepts they otherwise stand for. A good man keeps his promises, especially the ones he makes before God and the church. How could I ever have confidence in a man who isn’t true to his marital vows?

      • I actually think Trump was the perfect foil for Hillary not only because he (and Bernie) are the only ones who trump her in age (either would be older than Ronald Reagan was upon inauguration with Trump turning 70 this month) and in unlikeability, but Trump also does not have the moral high ground in matters of fidelity, which is often a deal breaker for Republicans long before they get this far…

        • I just think it’s weird that otherwise decent folks would give anyone a pass on this. I’m not talking about using force. Just not objecting to a fellow this sleazy calling ANYONE else sleazy. I hold both the nominees in equal contempt, but I think a lot of people may be sitting in church one morning and realize how hypocritical it is to hold the bible in one hand, and vote for a brazen adulterer and strip club proprietor with the other.
I’ve met a bunch of people like trump over the years, so it’s not like he’s anything special, but somehow he’s a step away from the presidency and it kinda gives me this psycho vibe.

        • As I inferred in a past post, I believe Bernie is a seed. And the seed has taken root and growing faster than I thought. Actually no surprise considering the massive infrastructure “they’ve” created. A true communist is somewhere backstage soon to do his rehearsal and become the next star. We are in need of someone who can counter punch. A huge undertaking.
