I might not mind so much paying taxes if I weren’t so horrified by what they’re using it for! Check out this article in this month’s Wired magazine: The NSA Is Building the Country’s Biggest Spy Center (Watch What You Say). And check out the insane New World Order imagery on this logo for the government program Total Information Awareness. I thought it was a joke or an Alex Jones type mock-up, but no, it’s real. I guess you can’t make this stuff up!
And this is what they’re up to….
How ‘Bout A Tax Revolt?
Imani called suggesting tax revolt by people just staying home and not working or consuming. I still think it’d be hard to conduct a tax revolt with the withholding tax firmly entrenched. Coincidentally, after the show last night, I stumbled onto this article that makes tax revolt seem possible and poetic: The One-Percent Revolution: National We-Won’t-Pay Day. Perhaps the 1% won’t coordinate a “we won’t pay day,” but I suspect over time they will stop paying all the same, either by “going Galt” and no longer contributing to the system or by “brain drain” where the best and the brightest emigrate to other countries. Don’t kid yourself, we have been living on a reputation earned when were were a freer, more prosperous nation–people will begin to catch on to the new America.
Odds And Ends…
On the show I also mentioned the documentaries America: Freedom to Fascism and An Inconvenient Tax, and the book How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World, by Harry Browne. Also, one caller told us about Sherry Jackson, a former IRS agent who spoke out about the injustices there and then was jailed for tax evasion. Here’s her story: Sherry Jackson: Convicted Under What Law?
An Oldie but a Goodie…
If you enjoyed my clip of Elizabeth Warren, here’s the video it came from.
I hope you enjoyed the show. If you missed the show or want to listen to previous broadcasts, check out my page at wsbradio.com.

Loved your show! And here’s an IRS power grab you may be unaware of: beginning this year, tax preparers must get IRS permission before they can work. The regulations require every paid tax return preparer to become a “registered tax return preparer” by paying extra fees, passing a government exam, and taking 15 hours of continuing education classes every year. Unsurprisingly, exemptions have been granted to those groups with powerful lobbies, e.g., big tax preparation firms, CPAs, and attorneys. So, the burden of compliance will fall most heavily on independent tax return preparers and small businesses. (Details at http://www.ij.org/economicliberty/4389.)
