I’m starting to think that the reason why most of the Supreme Court jumped the gun, and struck down Roe versus Wade instead of just updating the window of vitality from the third trimester to the second trimester is because They probably knew most progressives (whose “religion” is science) would probably accept that as a compromise; since that is only one of two issues that distinguishes conservatives from progressives, They had to keep this controversy going. However, I think it’s a bit pussy for the Libertarian Party to have no comment on abortion in order to avoid controversy yet are more than happy to have an unapologetic position on guns.
